Two companies you might call for estimates are Allgon and Action. And do call the state office.

Bumping this.

Our house was treated for termites 5 years ago when we bought it. Since then we have paid $150/year for a termite "warranty" where they will come out and check for termite activity. If they find some, they re-treat for "free." We haven't needed a single re-treatment and we've now paid $650 over these years for them to come do a quick 5-10 minute walk around the house and tell us everything looks fine.

The yearly warranty is now up to $165. I can't see continuing to spend this when nothing is getting done for the money but an inspection. If we find termites, I understand I will have to pay for treatment, but most quotes looks to be $500-$750, which is what I have already paid in "warranty" coverage.

Is my thinking incorrect here? Are there ways for me to prevent termites above ground myself on a yearly basis without spending hundreds of dollars?
