Does anyone live there? Do you like it? Is it set up so the amenities are walking distance or drive only?

Yes. I just wanted more personal qualitative up to date experiential reports if anyone was kind enough to share.

I spend the winter in Estrella. I would not say everything is walkable in the normal sense. We have 2 Residents clubs that would probably be a hard 80 minute walk from one to the other. Starpointe Resident's club is next to the Lakes and across the street from out shopping area with grocery, fast food, bank, drug store, and so on. It's just enough to keep you going but not really a shopping area. If you lived near the Lake this area could be walkable but that leaves a lot Estrella not available for this and those areas are where the newer homes are. It is about 15 minutes to Target or Walmart from most of Estrella and the I-10 is 15 to 20 minutes away.

If you are considering the area someone writing to you does not do it justice, take a drive up here and feel the peace and quiet while still being 30 to 60 minutes for everything someone could want for entertainment, dining, and amenities.

I'm maybe ten minutes on hoof from residents' center, pool, Safeway, Dr's office, etc, but I have walked there only a couple times. People here drive, even if walking is possible. Now, lots and lots of people walk around the lakes and along the trails. But purposeful walking is not something you see much of in Phoenix. Phoenix, FWIW, has the highest pedestrian fatality rate in the country, so even those who do walk often don't make it to where they were going.
