I don't recall seeing anyone cover their car at work.

If it's that nice of a car get it wrapped with xpel or something. Honestly I'd be more worried about road damage than sun damage. I mean the sun will eventually take its toll, but the road rash is real out here and the pebbles will find your paint. I only did a half wrap but I wish I'd gotten the full one.

I dd a 911 cab, parked in the sun every day for 3+ years now and it still looks pretty good. You definitely want a windshield screen though to protect the dash and help lower the temps.

When the winds come in with the monsoons your car’s paint will pay he price from the rubbing and slapping of the cover.

I moved to AZ 5 years ago with my black truck. It is outside at home and work. Not ideal, but the clearcoat is holding up. Like others said, the sand and car cover combo is much more likely to cause you problems. Keep it waxed (I don't) and you'll be ok.

^^^^^ I'll bet you money you'll see sun damage to your uncovered, non-garaged black truck sitting out in our relentless sun.

Weather stripping will dry and deteriorate, headlights will cloud and yellow, interior will fade (even worse for leather seats--dry out), tires will dry-rot faster (dangerous), and last but not least, your clearcoat will eventually fail, even though you keep it waxed.
