Harvey Wineburger is pretty good if you’re looking for an alternative

I follow the restaurant's Facebook page, and there's no mention of the closure. Up to just a few days ago, there were upbeat posts on different styles of burgers and other feel-good news. Although this is hardly the first business to fail after a relocation, this still seems out of the blue.

My fiance mentioned the same thing, it was not on their Facebook page at all, but they interviewed the current owner in last night's news story, so straight from the horse's mouth. They had only been at the new location since last July, so only 10 months

Is Wineburger just the name or is that an actual kind of burger?

It's the name of the restaurant, and was chosen because they add wine to the beef while cooking it

Sad, the original location had a great midwestern vibe and was one of our favorite burger joints. When they moved it simply didn't have the same look or feel. Half the attraction to the old location was watching them grill your burgers while you sat at the bar.

Same went for Rawhide.

Why do these well-known established joints feel the need to move? Why change whats perfect? To benefit societal trends? Ridiculous. Oh well, another awesome joint bites the dust. I'm still mourning Pinnacle Peak Patio.

The reason they had to move is someone bought all of the commercial property on 19th Ave & Bethany Home and their building was one of them. The owner didn't want to move. If you drive past the old location it is vacant as is the old car wash next door. Just waiting for the bulldozer to come through.

Like gmi said, Wineburger was forced out of their original location last year, as the entire corner was bought up with plans for demolition and a new business
