We. will be moving to the area this summer, and a lot of homes in Mountain Bridge look like they are right in our price range and ideally located. Does anyone live there and can tell me about it?

We are 55, very active and social. Kids are in college, so will want a fun place that they will want to come visit over the next few years.

Is there an active tennis community there?

Are most of the residents year round, or is this a snowbird type place?

I know there are no age limits, and we love having kids around, but does this lean more under 40 or over 40?

What type of activities are there for residents?

How far away are nice restaurants, shopping, groceries?

Thanks!

I’ve owned there two years. Great mix of ages, young families through retirees. They have good tennis courts there, but pickle ball seems to be more popular. No golf course, but 45% open space. People seem very friendly and there are a lot of community activities (more in cooler months). Feel free to PM me if you have specific questions.

I was unaware of Mountain Bridge until a few years ago when I sold a home there. I was amazed as to how beautiful and stunning the clubhouse and community is. I noticed a large % of Midwesterners that own homes there but locals own too. I would say it is more over 40. Main areas for shopping, and such are about 10ish minutes away.

What are the HOAs and can you have a pool in your backyard?

HOAs are $165 per month. The villas have a secondary assessment since they have their own pool, clubhouse, and outdoor maintenance included.

Many have pools as do I. Many also just use the Owner’s Club pool and spa. It’s a pretty spectacular setup if you ask me. We wanted to live in a resort style community and this is it.
