Hi,

I am just curious as to what the average rate for a 1 bedroom apartment runs for in the valley. I am aware that everywhere is different but I'm trying to see something. I currently live in North Phoenix and actually like the area. I am currently in a studio but think I'm paying way too much though. I'm planning to move into after my lease expires but I just want to get a feel of the rates. Thanks in advance!

It can very widely by area I believe the current average for a 1 bdrm is 750 give or take.

Realistically if you want a decent apartment in a nice area you’ll Ben looking at 1000-1200 for a 1bedroom studio ~800-900 and 2bd for about 1800-2000

I am looking at the apartment I had in N Sdale--94th st/Raintree area and it's about 950 for 850 sq ft 1 bedroom (washer/dryer inside). I rented this back in 2012-2014 and my rent was at the highest-781!!!!

Still, people from other cities like Boston, LA, Chicago and Miami are probably amazed at how low our rents are.

I feel like paying that much, washer in dryer should be included! That's what I'm looking for in my next place.

I'm in NW Mesa, close to the north intersection of 101 and 202. I have a 1000 sqft 2 bed/2 bath unit with washer/dryer included and I pay $869 before tax etc. I discovered last fall that one bedrooms were often the same price or MORE than two bedrooms, so I said to heck with it and started looking at two bedrooms. The one bedroom units here are more expensive than my 2 bed. I ran into that a lot at other complexes I looked at, not just mine. My guess is one bedrooms are more in demand.

800 for a studio in that area is robbery.

Exactly, exactly! I think it's because the electric is included so its only one bill but still. I'm moving though but unfortunately it won't be until next year. Besides I want a washer and dryer for the coins I'm paying here.
