I live just north of Carefree Highway and just east of I-17. Want to cut the cord so I need suggestions on buying an outdoor antenna as well as a DVR recorder. I need to supply signal to 5 tv's (one of which is a smart 4k tv w/Roku). I have Roku on two other tv's so I plan on doing some streaming also. Much appreciate any suggestions that WILL work in my area of Phoenix....

Rooftop antennas do very well in Phoenix. Height of roof and clear sight towards South Mountain are more important than fanciness of antenna. We bought the cheapest one from amazon years back and it works perfect. Recently I helped my wife's friend who didn't want to pay cable any more, but owns a 1st floor condo and could only use indoor antennas. We got it to work for all five local stations and many others which are usually garbage lol.

When we lived near 7th st and Carefree Hwy years ago I installed a Channel Master 150 (150 mile) antenna 6 ft above the roof and it got all of Phoenix stations one relay from Prescott and 2 Tucson stations.
