I am from the Raleigh area and am curious about how much you pay in your area for regular gasoline. We are up to about $ 3.29 per gallon.

Some grocery stores here have gas pumps and will offer $0.03 to $0.05 off the per gallon cost with a club card, which I've seen lately priced close to competitors...

So, imagine if the price you see is $3.18 (typical in Phoenix now) the you may only pay $3.15 to $3.13 per gallon....

Also, go to Costco for gas. I haven't been there in a while for gas, but when I was it was about $.10 less per gallon.

Here in Illinois, in my town anyway, it is now 3.71 to 3.85 a gallon for reg unleaded. How is it in Phoenix area? Has it gone up this high there too?

Try to stay away from stations near freeways ramps. They range from $3.45 - $3.54 a gallon. The further away from a freeway exit/entrance you get, the price is likely to drop a bit. Also, we American's are still quite "lucky;" having been to Germany recently, gas is $5.85 a LITER! Lets hope that we find alternative resouces and that our dependence on gas diminishes or else we Americans will be paying European prices soon, and Europeans will go bankrupt paying for gas.

I misunderstood my German friend, LOL, I am still fine tuning my German, but gas there is actually $5.58 on average a gallon, but they pay by the liter...but a gallon is $5.58 on average in Germany. Even worse than that, the Netherlands, a citizen can expect to pay $6.48 a gallon.
