Thanks!
My experience with Hulu is that the streaming tends get pixilated and sometimes just stops - like you get logged out and have to reconnect. This was mostly with local channels It is not your internet side but their servers/the connections to the locals that are not up to the task. This was last summer so maybe they have improved but I see similar comments in reviews as well. It's bearable, but like I said above, it is just not the level of service quality you have come to expect from cable or satellite services.

Another thing I saw when researching Hulu is that they do not broadcast lower quality images when the connection is bad or under high loads or user command. So that tends to exacerbate the problem. Also, since you don't have the option of going to a lesser quality, you are always using max bandwidth and eating up your data allowance if you have one. Netflix, in contrast, lets you go to a poorer picture and use less data.

With Cox Gigablast, you’ll need fiber to get the really fast upload speeds.

The online "check to see if your address has service" tools are not that accurate, indeed you have to call them and have them check your address.

Not necessarily, you do need to make sure your cable modem is DOCSIS 3.1 compliant and it is going to depend on the number of subscribers in your area, but you can get 800Mb/s+ over cable. I dumped their router though and grabbed a Linksys AC5400.

Is that Linksys router worth its $350 price tag as shown on Amazon?

Down, yes, but what about up? Cox shows uploads capped at 35 without fiber.

Yeah, the online address check isn't accurate. Shame I have to call and check every address.

No complaints so far and has much better coverage than the Netgear that comes with the Gigablast. Of course my measurement is whether or not I am told the Internet is lagging from my son... And no, I didn't pay that much for it...it helps to have hookups with the manufacturer
