They need feeding February, May and September. Think Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Labor Day.

How much to use? I'd rather not say because I don't know how big your trees are, etc. here's a link:
FYI. The fertilizer I use has 22% nitrogen. Generally that's the main fertilizer you need, but in my area the soil is short on zinc, so I apply that too.

Good stuff. Also, since you all seem knowledgeable on this stuff, what is the best time to do palm tree trimming? Is there an ideal time of the year to do that, as well? I have 7 very tall ones on my property.

I assume you mean the ultra tall ones with skinny trunks? Washingtonia robusta? (Mexican fan palm)
Prune them when those flower stalks look shabby, can't remember month.

Take the flower stalks off, and the dead lower leaves too. But don't prune it up so much that it looks like a carrot (not good for tree.)

Thank God I don't have this tree in my yard anymore.
