Traveling next week and never used the curbside baggage check systems before.
But this trip is extended and bags are larger and we are older.
I will assume that terminal 3 has the curbside baggage check?
If so can anyone tell me the additional fees and how any information I might need.

There are no additional fees, but it is customary to tip the Skycap. $1 or 2 per bag is adequate. As long as you do not need to make any changes to your flights or tickets it is simple. The Skycap will check you in and take your bags. You can go straight to security and on to your gate.

OK, sounds simple, does the Skycap also give you a boarding pass?

Do you have cell phones? If so, check in online. They send an email boarding pass. Make a screen shot of that. When you go to security, set your phone on the small glass screen there with the screen shot showing. The TSA person will rudely point it out to you. Same thing at the boarding gate. Just make sure your phone is charged! You can also print out the email and use that.

Interesting, how did we ever get along without cell phones?

Maybe if you had your boarding pass and ID ready, nobody would need to "rudely point it out to you"? Every minute you stand there, sorting through your stuff like this is the first time you've ever heard of the TSA or air travel, you're holding everyone else up. No sympathy. Come prepared, or get berated. Nobody else has time.

I meant the screen. For people who have not flown in a while they don't realize that the have scanners for phone boarding passes now. But thanks for the advice. I have pre-check so don't really have to deal with slow security lines.
