on this topic, are there are any good DIY car washes, where we know the water is not being recycled without good filtering?
I don't want to take my car through a wash with brushes etc that would damage the paint.
What would be nice is a high pressure washer and foam gun tool set that allows me to carefully use my own wash mitt and dry off with high speed air and my own towels.

Any such place in Scottsdale/N Phoenix?

The rise of Uber and lyft. You can get a monthly pass for touch ups and keep your car clean and free vacuums for convenience

I love these new automated express washes. So fast and cheap. And they actually do a pretty good job.

The one on Gilbert Rd. just north of the 60 freeway is awesome. Tons of free vacuum spots and best of all they are all under a huge awning in the shade.

An automated car wash represents a more predictable revenue stream, than employee intensive businesses. IOW, those machines don't need 700 dollar per month, Obamacare policies.

Why so many new car wash businesses now?

They're Mafia front businesses to launder their dirty money.

For some reason russians come to mind, lol. There are a couple of businesses near me (chinese rest. and a mexican food drive thru) that are always empty. I keep wondering HOW can they afford to stay in business?
