Well, this year looks like will be a repeat of last year for us - another March without turning on the air conditioner. Has anyone else went through the month without AC? We haven't turned ours on even once since the start of the year.

Yep. I'm liking it.

Would be fine if we had a May like last year as well

Mine is programmed to come on if the interior temps exceed 74. I think there were a few days where it kicked on for awhile. I've had windows open for the most part since January and some of the days were almost 80.

Our AC is also programed to come on at 74F. So for a few afternoons it has been running. Next week it will be getting close to the 90's according to the weather reports. Be cool, be safe, enjoy the moment.

A few times this winter on the coldest days our heat has turn on in the evening with our return set point temperature on our thermostat. Normally it would only turn on in early in the morning (BTW we have gas heat). Never had a need to use the AC at all this winter (our usual AC set point is 77-78 while we are at home).

I use mine at night. I have loose window screens (apartment) and a big, heavy, curious cat who would think nothing of jumping out the window once he pushed the screen out. So no open windows here.
