Is Sun City more geared toward married couples? Is the single club in Sun City active? Do the single people in Sun City have an active social life?

Before COVID there was. Everything I've ever done here was a mix of singles and couples. This is probably the last thing you would have to worry about in Sun City.

At face value I get it; widowed oldsters want companionship. What I don't get is segregation. Why is it so difficult to meet people and network in the general population? Why clubs and cliques? To "better" your chances?

Get some game for Pete's sake.

That a 55 year old may want to meet single people and are more comfortable in a club? There is nothing wrong with that. The 'oldsters" as you say have been here for awhile and they have their friends and acquaintances. Sun City is very welcoming to new residents. For some a singles club is good. For others it isn't necessary. I'm very outgoing, others aren't.

Why you felt you had to make a comment like you did, when it didn't answer the question sounds like overcompensating. Your use of the word cliques is very telling.

55?!

What on earth is a 55 year-old doing cruising for love in Sun City? Someone needs to stay in his/her lane!

Well Elna Rae, I'm not sure where in my question you got the impression I was looking for love. A lot of 55+ communities are more geared for married couples to meet and socialize. Many single people enjoy socializing with other single people. There is nothing wrong with that.
