If you happen to be making enough copies that you don't want to do them at home, and can't sneak them on the office copy machine, I just found a place that is cheaper than most options, .08 a page.

Alphagraphics
2120 East Camelback Road

Also surprisingly pleasant and efficient staff.

Add the cost of gasoline and the time it takes out of your day and, in the long run, it works out better to have a printer and scanner at home or a combo printer/scanner/copier.

Save the trees!!

I'm actually shocked people are making so many copies these days. In a day and age where just about everything can be done digitally, why the need for so much paper?

Well, sure, time and gas is a factor. My point is that some people may be around there. I happened to be running some errands there, and included that in my rounds. And if someone were making 100 copies of a research paper to send to every senator, he might not want to print something so big at home.

I'll bite. Can you elaborate on this a bit?
