I'm VERY familiar with ND - I've been a neighborhood lead/moderator for 4+ years. I don't live in HIS neighborhood; hence, I cannot join HIS neighborhood on Nextdoor.. And no, he cannot manage Nextdoor, nor would he want to get in a car with a stranger.

True, but at those locations one can utilize public transportation or Uber. Yes, I do recognize a cost to those options.

I can only tell you that I have neighbors who have gotten their first vaccine dose at Safeway.

You might also search for Facebook pages for local neighborhoods. They exist. And in post 42 the Grand Canyon University option is discussed.

THANK YOU. This is EXACTLY what I was hoping to find - and I'm glad Maricopa County finally realized there was a problem.

Note: Currently, they are only accepting those over 75.

While the excessive reliance on drive-thrus remains a problem, the website has been improved. Information is now retained from one session to another, and I was able to book an appointment at Phoenix Municipal Stadium (unfortunately a drive-thru, but I'll take it) for this weekend. The walk-thru GCU site is now operating; however, it is run by the county with stricter criteria than the state sites, meaning that right now only people 75+ are eligible.

Not surprising, given the level of pent-up frustration. Also the fact that it's not a 24/7 POD.

We are getting visits from around the nation and recognition for the State Farm vax operation. Biden and Harris are doing a virtual tour of the State Farm site today. Maybe they will see to it that we get some extra vaccines to cover for ones the snowbirds have taken. Ducey was trying to get 300,000 for that purpose and got turned down.

I had a successful experience at the Phoenix Municipal Stadium site with my first shot on Saturday. Nevertheless, the lack of non-drive-thru options continues to be a problem. Will Humble is a former director of ADHS and a frequent critic of Doug Ducey and Cara Crist. I don't always agree with him, but he makes a good point about the lack of walk-through options being one of many factors creating disparities in who gets vaccinated:
