Hi -

We are researching a 1-2 year temporary move from SF Bay Area (don't hate us!! Things are REALLY bad here). Any progressive schools focused on art, out door learning in the the Phoenix area? Next year I will have a sixth and tenth grader. TIA!!

Arizona School for the Arts ticks the art and progressive boxes, but it's a charter school, not private.

What schools were your children attending? SF pubic schools are a mixed bag. Schools in say the Sunset or Richmond districts are fine.

Seriously? Public schools are a train wreck. My kids are grown now but if I had school aged kids they would be in private Christian schools. Our son did go to private Christian school because of the awful experience we had with his sister, ten years older than him. Even though they are ten years apart the difference in their education shows even today.

Well there's no such thing as a private progressive Christian school and there aren't any progressive private schools here to my knowledge so if they want progressive they'll have to go public.
