Hello everyone! Boy have I had some history with these neighbors of mine. Been living next to them for nearly ten years. The last few years have been rough. On one occasion, that I know of and probably has been more than once, they stole water. One day I came out of my house and found they had draped my water hose across my property line and onto their property. God knows how long they were stealing water until I had to hook up a bib lock on it. Then, they occasionally would fill up my trash cans, leaving me no room for my own garbage. When I approached them about this, they got defensive and started giving me excuses. They said they didn’t have a hose long enough to extend to the other side of their house, so they helped themselves to my water. Their kids tossed several large garbage bags into my garbage bin on numerous occasions, kids will be kids the mother says.

When I approached the mother about the trash in my bins, I told her I don’t care how they ended up in there and to please remove them and the next time it happens I’ll just call the police for trespassing and illegal dumping (they actually cross my property line and in some instances, go into my backyard to access my bins).

Now, they have decided to park their cars in front of my house. The cars overhang the driveway by a couple feet. It’s not a whole lot but, when I’m trying to enter or exit my garage, it’s difficult to navigate around. I’ll try to post a picture of how far it overhangs.

Am I being unreasonably upset about the car issue?

No you're not being unreasonable, that's annoying as "HE double hockey sticks". But, good luck on getting it resolved in any kind of fashion. IMHO, just parking in front of someone else's property is bad etiquette, but you can't do crap about it.

If I were you I'd start installing Ring cameras on your property. Phoenix is becoming more and more of a cesspool. I hate to say that, because when my grandparents transferred to Luke AFB in the 60s Glendale was a beautiful place with amazing people living there.

I installed a ton of Blink cameras to watch things on my property.

Just call non-emergency and have them cited.

I will but only if they actually give out citations for something like this.

Seems like they are doing it on purpose. There are bad neighbors everywhere. Good areas and bad areas. It does not matter. Money can not buy class. Call the city and ask. Stealing water and transpassing is a crime. It is a shame you have to go that route but you have to correct the problems before they excalate. Watch Fear Thy Neighbor on ID. (LOL)

It looks like the neighbor across the street with the white truck is parked 5 feet in front of the driveway.

re: in front of the driveway. I had a carpet contractor park in front of 1/2 of my driveway. I didn't even notice or care. But he a $200 ticket for doing so. Read https://library.municode.com/az/glen...ZODIRE_5.211PA for the rules. You could also call the non-emergency number to learn about the official policy.

Alright. I'll contact the non-emergency number and go from there.

Ok, I'll call them today and just inquire about information for when this happens again. Oh the white truck belongs to that homeowner.

That's beyond belief. I don't think it's possible to work with such neighbors. My guess is you'll need proof you've asked them to be more careful and they refuse. Photos or video clips that are time-stamped should help.

Then you'll need to speak with an attorney and ask the best way to handle this.
