Hey Everyone,
Sorry If I am posting the most typical question about phoenix, but I feel more confortable have my own post.
Here is my situation, I am 24 years old, I have a son, toddler, and me and hubby are taking a break from each other, he will stay in OC and me and my son are going to Phoenix area alone in july. I will be finishing my massage therapist school here in CA, but its sucks cause most of massage therapist jobs over there there require AZ license, and I wont be able to get it right away and i will have to go to school there again. So I am thinking to get a part time job for the afternoon and go to school in the morning, and I will have to leave my son in a pre shool or daycare during the day. The school that I was looking is for me is in Tempe so i would like some advice on where to live? My montly rent budget is 800-1000 but i want to keep on 950 for a house. I would rather live in a gated community, with good amenities to take my son to play. From what I been reading Gilbert seems like a nice place to live, but how long would be my commute to Tempe? Also its easy to find jobs in Gilbert or tempe area? Any advice in child care in the area?Prices? Advice on areas to live? Even i am thinking about Gilber i keep my mind open to other places. Also I am afraid of my eletric bill on summers.
I am going to phoenix over memorial day weekend to explore, i need to find a realtor to help me look around. If anyone know someone nice that would be great?
I dont know nobody in Phoenix area, so how are the people there?I mean are they friedly? Open to new friendships?
One thing that i hate about OC is the people, i really dont want to move where people is just like here.
Sorry if I wrote too much, but I am little afraid about this crazy moving alone with my son so I have tons of questions.
Thanks

Well, for $950 a month you probably won't be finding any gated communities. You definitely could if it was an apt.

The other thing is that we are so saturated with massage therapists. We have numerous schools that offer that program and hundreds of grads each year. It's a field that really took off several years ago, but for stability, it may not be the best. I stopped recommending it to my friends for the past few years. It seems like everyone knows a massage therapist.

It seems like child care is $150-200 per week or so at various childcare centers. Find some online and call them up to see for sure.
