I was at SanTan Village, and I was surprised to se that the H&M store has closed. What I find surprising is that they would choose to keep the Chandler Fashion Center store over the SanTan Village Store.
Perhaps the more central location of Chandler Fashion Center was simply drawing more foot traffic, or the rents are lower at Chandler Fashion Center.

What I find strange is why would they choose to keep the Chandler Fashion Center store over SanTan Village. I thought SanTan Village was in better shape as a mall.

I guess that spot at SanTan is cursed, haha. It was occupied by Eddie Bauer prior to H&M, but that location closed while the Eddie Bauer store in the Chandler mall remains.
Rent near doubled at STV last year, pushed out a lot of decent business. I only know that because I knew who operated Cantina Loredo and they closed because the rent was going to double. Now Bourbon and Bones is there, which is better IMO. STV wants to go high end.
