It's funny, in all the years I have lived here and heard people discuss what they hate about the place, I have never heard anyone mention bugs. Really, the LACK of bugs is one of the things people cite as an advantage. Enjoy your visit. And leave the OFF! at home.

By the way, did you know that we have no dust mites, an allergen second only to pollen, here?

I fear anything with 8 legs and always google what kind of spiders an area has before moving. We are passing on Florida. We have only seen a few bugs here in the past two years. Some Bark scorpions (the bad ones) after the bug guy got done. None in my home (yet). Our neighbor had a herd of tarantulas with babies on their backs last summer. He screamed so loud we heard him two streets over. We have not had any yet. Overall, there are not many bugs here at all. We have been almost bugless.
