You can always do a payment plan that they have available. They will let you pay it monthly throughout the semester or anyway you want. It was like that at Rio. It's a great way to not fork over hundreds at a time.

To the OP...there are thousands, hundreds of thousands of local students here making it financially. Work for a year and take one class a semester and then when you get your residency....attend full time. By the way, Im from California so I do understand how you feel. Right before we moved here, I was paying $11 per credt hour in N.Cal.

I'm coming out there more for the quality of life as LA is getting way too crowded and EXPENSIVE. A one bedroom here in Pasadena is $1750 a month for a similar apartment in N. Scottsdale. Also the auto business is very good over there, being that this is my line of work, it seems like a very good transition. However it sucks that I am gonna have to set myself back 6 mos or so to get my residency done before I can add more classes

On a side note, my girlfriend has government aid, does anyone know if her aid will transfer over there without any problems with the increase in prices for classes?

Government aid as in grants and loans? I think she'll have to reapply and indicate her new school, but getting the money shouldn't be an issue.
