Hello all,

I will be moving near to the Phoenix area (looking at Chandler and surrounding area) .. come this Nov/Dec.

After reading the FAQ's I was wondering if things have changed in more recent days, (job market, etc ..)?

I will be flying down in a couple opf weeks for 6-7 days to see everything I can ..

Any tips, advise, or thoughts, would be helpful!!

Thank You

WeeMan

Lightbulb target Chandler area

If you are targeting a move to Chandler, I would suggest spending a lot of time there, along with making a few "commuting drives in rush hour"; assuming you are going to be working away from home...

got a job yet? what do you do? the job market varies by profession. I'm a drafter and the only one left of a crew that used to be 7 people. to the best of my knowledge the other 6 guys are still unemployed after months or searching. but some other professions are still strong.

Chandler is a great place to live, are you looking for an apartment or house? buy or rent? what do you do with your free time? what is important for you to have nearby? do you like to be in the thick of it all or on the outskirts? it's very hard to provide advice and recomendations without some back ground on you.

Personally i prefer the outskirts, so i chose Maricopa after living in Chandler and Tempe. I have no interest in moving back into the more urban areas. For others on this board Maricopa is entirely too rural and far away from the lifestyle they enjoy. the advice of someone who loves being in the downtown area would not suit me well at all, and vice versa. so lets hear more about you!
