Great Hearts schools have a great reputation- especially Tempe Prep and Veritas (central/north Phoenix). But there are LONG waiting lists. Registration for next school year is already starting now in some schools.

Aztoga, good advice! thank you! My son just was admitted through the lottery to Chandler Prep, not too far from our house. But my younger son...you are quite right, perhaps the local Kyrene Del Cielo (a fine school within the Kyrene district) is the right choice for the reasons you mention.

My friends really like Temp Prep and Chandler Prep. Majority people like Great Heart Academy. No school is perfect. Looking at school reports, they are doing really good.

I agree! I am a parent who has been at Mesa Prep since the beginning. It is my guess that the author of the website referenced is a former teacher who was essentially fired for not doing his job. Great Hearts has a great program and should be commended for getting rid of the bad apples. We feel VERY blessed that our children are able to attend Mesa Prep!!!!!!!
