Actions speak louder than words. I'm not just talking about the OP. There are countless threads with people looking for work here. They are not tied to the city. They could relocate to Texas or some other state with better jobs but people would rather remain unemployed in Arizona with the hope that they will soon get a job then relocate to another part of the country with better job prospects. To me, that says more than some random person coming on citydata and saying Phoenix svcks. Phoenix is a beautiful city and people want to remain here if they can.

Even the people who have complained about Phoenix are still here. The OP was complaining about Phoenix since 2005. She says she couldn't leave due to housing reasons but she had 2 years to sell her house before the market tanked and she didn't do it. And then you have people who complained about Phoenix but are now trying to come back like LasVegasdrunk.

Let's be honest, the job market isn't great here yet over 100K people still moved here last year and I guarantee over 100K will move here next year too.

Actions speak louder than words. Opinions really mean nothing. I've learned in life that if you want to know how a person really thinks, judge them based on their actions. Talk is cheap

I also hate AZ. Too much trouble, the life style there sucks bad. People shooting guns all over the place. Cal Worthington big ripoff artist use to live there. Too many people from CA. making trouble. Too many bugs that bit the girls bit too.
Lived there 20 plus years never go back.

Gee, thanks for sharing. Cal Worthington had dealerships in other states, too, and he hasn't been here for how many years? And people don't shoot guns "all over the place" in other states, too. And too many bugs, as well??? (not that that's not a bigger problem elsewhere, too.)

We're better off without you, I think.

Now here's someone we should take seriously. He's obviously a bastion of sophistication and a qualified judge of lifestyle. Just look at how well he writes....

I must say, I will be part of that 100k statistic next year.

People flock to Phoenix overestimating the importance of warm weather. Meanwhile, they underestimate the importance of job security, family, and occassional cloud cover.

That's a shallow argument. That's essentially assuming that everyone who moves here just moved here for the weather alone without taking any other factors into consideration. It's just a desperate argument made by Phoenix bashers who can't accept that people move here because they like this city. Yeah, let's just assume 100K people are all clueless who came here for the weather and did no research. Strong argument!
