When those infamous (hot to very hot) Az. summer months having consecutive days with temps of 105+ roll around how do you cope?
Hibernate in front of the a/c? Do your thing early morning and be home by 10am? Go to Utah for the summer? Or! is it not really a problem?
Comments??
Lots of water and iced tea, plenty of air-conditioning!!!!!!!!!

Default Mildewbeltrefugee

Anybody know of any local shuttle service, regularly scheduled or random as needed or other, to and from the PHX airport?

Thanks

Super Shuttle operates all over the Phoenix area. You call and schedule it, based on your flight time. You are likely to get picked up very early in relation to your departure time, and others will be picked up along the way, but it works pretty well.

Fountain Hills is a BEAUTIFUL area. My family and I go out there typically twice a year, Winter and Summer. We usually stay out there during the Summer for 2-3 weeks while the kids are on Summer Break! The Summer Temperature is Not bad for us, we prefer it over our South Texas Weather during the Summer. But we were all born and raised in South Texas, Cold Winters kicks our butts more than Hot Summers. I know it's a Cliché but the Humidity of South Texas really does make a difference, even if Fountain Hills is 10 degrees Hotter. Heat Index is quite a bit lower!

Besides, the crowds are down during the Summer! Most people that live there and can afford it, head up North somewhere to avoid the heat! If I could make a living out in Phoenix, Tucson, Yuma or Lake Havasu Areas, we would have moved out there years ago. We love the outdoors, it rarely rains so it's a great outdoors area.

Good Luck, I'm very envious of people that can just pack up and move to their favorite area of the Country. We own a business and have strong ties in South Texas so Texas will be my Home forever. We plan to buy a vacation house someday in one of the places I mentioned above.

I'm African American and considering moving to FH. Are there many African Americans living in Fountain Hills?

No, not at all. That's not to say that you will have problems but FH is very white.
