This is an American Wigeon, one of the "snowbirds" usually found in Phoenix lakes and lagoons in the winter months. This photo is from Papago Park in Phoenix.

A dramatic Phoenix sunset over a fishing lagoon in Papago Park.

I'll upload a couple of Phoenix images every day.

I have a few motorcycle POV videos I made around the Phoenix area if you're interested (including a quick ride to Mel's Diner). If you go to youtube and do a search for clcrisler, it should bring you to them. Warning though, they're not the best videos in the world and two have hip hop soundtracks (my friends group).

Love that picture.... I have to see that in pictures, as I will never be up on the mountain to see for myself!

Here are two easily accessible locations. The top shows Central Avenue near the Heard Musuem and the bottom is a view from Papago Park, the red rock park in the heart of downtown Phoenix.

Lovely pictures... but to make things clear for people not familiar with the area, Papago Park is hardly in the "heart of downtown Phoenix", as it borders both Scottsdale and Tempe.

I don't get some of these pictures, they are nothing special, just average photos taking with a decent camera.
