Does it have to be Phoenix itself? Lots of inexpensive areas on the outskirts of the city that might fit your needs.. Is he or you going to be working? If so, that will make a big difference....

We need a little more information to help you out.

No it doesn't have to be Phoenix itself . I myself will be needing to work My husband Is disabled and we have a teenage son We just need a safe place were there is a bus line, good doctors and not alot of crime and inexpensive. We own our property where we live at now but the winters are cruel on my husband's health. We're in our mid 40s I also heard there was a nuclear power plant somewhere around Phoenix We don't want to live near it though ha ha. If you can help Thanks !!

Are you limiting yourself to the USA? Safe and cheap are not easy in Phoenix. Zhuhai, in south China, just across the border from Hong Kong is a glorious place for you. I am serious. Safer than anywhere you have ever been, urban with access outstadning. Great climate, cheap, excellent medical care, and great food. You are 30 minutes away from Hong Kong outstanding and cheap medical care if you need.

Check out Goodyear it's very affordable and safe. I have been to AZ many times over the past couple of years to make sure it's what I wanted and you can't go wrong with Goodyear.

Just be careful if you need a busline the outskirts of the Valley are going to give you horrible access. Unfortunately you will need to live within the city of Phoenix or Tempe(best bus system in the valley) for that.
