Odd post I know, but I think I read somewhere someone was tired of "I'm thinking of moving, where should I live?" posts...

Anyways, I know someone who runs a business cleaning gum off sidewalks in NYC. Is that a problem yet in Phoenix? I know it's not as pedestrian, but I can't find any info or pics.

Wonder if it's viable as a business down there.

Not as many people walking around in Phoenix as in New York City. Most of us have cars in the Phoenix area and seem to get from place to place in that manner. My only visit to NYC has been within the New York City forum. From what I have learned New York City is better set up for walking than Phoenix is. Also it seems that many on the New York Forum seem to think that having a car is not needed in New York City. In Phoenix you could choose to walk around on the sidewalk, but most people that I know prefer a car.

The same machine that is used to clean chewing gum off of sidewalks can also make any concrete look new. I worked for a small company in N.D. cleaning concrete for a summer in high school. (more of a side business)

If they could make money doing it up there, I'm sure it would be a viable business in a place that isn't covered in snow half the year and has a population that is 120 times greater.
