As we grill, drink beer, and enjoy our paid day off, let's take some time to honor our fallen warriors.

Rest in peace, brothers and sisters.

Thank you for posting this, my husband is a navy veteran and a lot of our friends are in our thoughts and prayers right now. Everyone have a blessed holiday and remember why this day is so important.

Honor as far as what? taking a day off and having a BBQ with no vets? How about all the vets that are forced to work today? homeless? mentally insane?

They aren't to be forgotten either. I for one take time to call the mothers of my friends I lost in Iraq and those buried in Arizona I had already visited their resting place. It is fine to have a good time without a vet, that's why myself and others joined to begin with...to insure Americans the freedom and peace to enjoy such days!
