I have never been in AZ other than a helicopter ride into the Grand Canyon from VEGAS. Peoria looks inviting as far as the world wide web is concerned.

If you look at a map or go to realtor.com to see listings and plot properties.... The more north you go in Peoria, the newer and more expensive it tends to get. Beardsley Rd & north you can start seeing the differences. There are some pretty sizeable retirement communities here like Westbrook Village and Ventana lakes so if you run across those, just know they are age restricted.

If you have a soft spot for older block homes etc, there arent many here in Peoria, and they tend to be further south in the older sections. There are parts of the central part of Peoria that I would live in without any problem at all but overall the further south you get, the less desirable it becomes.

Good Luck Hope that helps!

We don't want to settle for NJ just because our family is here.

Try Zillow.com or Trulia for Real Estate. Coming from NJ you will be shocked at how low the taxes are. It may take you a year or two to get used to the summers. Keep your car IN THE GARAGE so it won't get ruined by the sun.

Good Luck

HA! The true Jersey Devil is from South Jersey by me. There is like an invisable line above Trenton, NJ. North Jersey is like a seperate state from South Jersey!

A better question: are there any Arizona transplants out there who've fallen in love with New Jersey?
