I'm curious if anyone has any information or opinions of Leading Edge Academy in Queen Creek? We are moving to San Tan Valley in a couple of weeks, and are zoned to go to Walker Butte...and it is only a 4 on the Great School rating scale. I was also not impressed by the comments left by the parents. So I started researching options and Eduprize was one because it was an 8 and had glowing feedback by parents. The problem is that they have a waiting list, the enrollment director told me since it is a lottery, it could be a 2 day wait, could be a 2 year wait...what really scared me was that she told me to enroll my 2 year old now. I really didn't want to move my kids schools again, would rather them lay down roots. So, I dug a little deeper and found 3 other local charter schools, one was Leading Edge Academy. It is rated a 7, which is just fine with me, had mixed parental reviews (which I know is pretty typical). I contacted them yesterday and they had room for both my 2nd and 3rd graders! Stoked because it def. seems like a better option than our neighborhood school.

My kids aren't going to like the uniform thing...but I personally kinda like it. It is also about 5.5 miles from our home, up Hunt highway...and wondering if that is going to be hellish trying to get them to school by 8am. I hear traffic is pretty bad (since I haven't been there, I have no clue myself). Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance!
