Going to court and complaining would have been better because:
1. give you more money
2. less money to the photo radar company
3. less power to big brother

I guess I don't understand this post. Complaining in court doesn't matter (other than getting your "day in court") if the judge still finds you in violation. Then you will pay the fine, court costs, service fees, etc. So everyone gets their money, except you lose yours. Lesson learned.

Do check on what you posted on the price of the school. If memory serves, taking the course for "fun" may cost $35, but taking it to avoid a ticket costs a lot more.

Let us know what you decide to do!

I skipped about 3 pages..This is not Germany and good luck on that complaint...How old is your son? Did he specify his age...A person has to be a certain age to accept the summons and be legal if not yourself...

I don't believe in these traffic cameras to rule life especially when the company running them is not even in the US and trying to rule our legal system, what next rent-a-cops from somewhere in squads to fill in the blank...

I don't speed more than 4 to 5 mph if I do (anymore)...you blatantly brag and what if this would have been a squad car that pulled you over...who is going to save your guilty arse then?...ah but, but, butt

I'm typically one of the slower drivers as I like to save gas.

Reminds me of the last time I got a speeding ticket. It was near fountain hills on the highway. (A highway in the desert, not in a city.) I was going downhill and was given a ticket for doing 71 in a 55 mph zone. (Yes they raised the speed limit since then.) The 55mph law was enacted to save gas. Here is a policeman, perhaps below his quota, wanting me to hit the brakes and waste gas, contrary to the intention of the law.
Seems like you make your own laws in your own world...maybe you should become a politician...after you deal with the issues...Speed limit is speed limit in whatever state you are in, not because they did this or did that...and if you are teaching your kids to not answer the door...give them the whole truthful story...

Yeah, congrats in furthering our police state. Guilty and not guilty have NOTHING to do with whether you did it or not. Pleading guilty means the state takes your money without a fight. Pleading not guilty means they have to prove their case. I make the state work for my money and work hard. I've beaten plenty of tickets in court, tickets issued by a live cop. I won't hand over money to the state without a fight.

You know, I probably could've shown up in court and pled "Poverty". Think that would've worked??

I WAS speeding. They caught me dead to rights and I'm not about to waste my time just to have some judge tell me to pay up. My luck isn't good enough to go fight something like that. Besides I kinda figure it's just Karma catching up with me after all these years. It won't happen again, believe me!

Rick Lee was correct. I am an Arizona native who has gotten away with well over 20 of these bogus tickets. I was a delivery driver in Phoenix for years, so I got lots of them. Some here will respect you for paying the "tax collector." However, anyone with any knowledge of the system (Rick Lee, Valley Native, me, etc) knows you just bowed down to the system, just like Arizona wants you to. You only got one, I hope that $190 you donated to the Arizona budget deficit was not really needed by you. Unfortunately you did not know that it takes 15 of these tickets being ignored before the state even tries takes action.

Are you just talking the camera tickets? Or any ticket in general?

Its been a very long time since I had either type of ticket, but the last time maybe 8 yrs ago was handed out by a real police officer. Just an ordinary speeding ticket but it resulted in a suspension of my drivers license pretty quickly. Once the notices changed to threats of a warrant for arrest, I paid the ticket.

(this is ticket that caused that casino story I posted. I mailed in the payment later than the due date but never reinstated since I didnt know I had to do anything besides pay, and its why they cited me for being in possession of a fraudulent ID)
