Absolutely, and good for you. The road to wealth is not about how much money you make, but about living below your means. Working harder to make more money is an endless continuum. I don't care who you are, if you work harder, you can make more money. The choice is up to the individual. If you're supporting yourself, you get my respect.

I do OK, but I know I could have done much better if I'd worked harder. But, no regrets. Instead of trying to suck every last dollar out of life, I've developed other interests which make me happy.

I went 15 months... was NOT fun. Back to the normal... but getting MUCH less (so maybe not so normal).. But something is better than nothing.

Keep looking! They win if we stop looking.

Sometimes one has to walk in anothers shoes to see how it is. I get mad every time I see the news that Republicans are holding up bills or passing bills that hurt people that need it the most. last week I saw on the news that the AZ house rejected giving people unemployment benefits that work part time or some temp jobs, although thet are missing out on millions of dollars they would have received from the fed gov. This really makes people not want to take any part time or temp job b/c they are afraid of getting cut off and not having the stability of a guaranteed income-no matter how small. And I know its hard for many and very frustrating not to be working and worry about everything, and having to reapply for unemployment is difficult. When I was out of work last year I tried to apply and it was so difficult and i got the run around...I gave up and luckily got the job I have now. So anyways, my point is I think that was another bad move that the AZ state gov made.
And now I see that AZ has joined the lawsuit against the federal government. This is ludicrous and taxpayers are going to be paying for it!
Obama was elected b/c people do want health care reform. I can understand maybe some parts they don't like about the bill or may want to compromise. But stil for the Republicans to fight it tooth and nail..and waste time fighting it instead of trying to work with the administration? This is hurting people who need healthcare. People are losing their incomes, their homes , even their lives. republicans do not seem to care about the average person struggling, they could have introduced some sort of bill or reformed health care so it is affordable to Americans, and yet they did nothing in alll these years. yet when a democrat comes along and tries to do something they sure do everything they can to thwart it.
I know not all Republicans are against the poor and struggling but it does seem that every single program that comes along to help they want to do away with it or cut it out entirely, and that is not helping our nation.

Once again I get the idea that Phoenix and it's suburbs are all of Arizona. They aren't, The Real Estate Developers destroyed your economy and when they went down it took all of the people who built those houses and supplied them, with them. I live in Cochise County Unemployment Rate 7.5% and in my town 4.5%. The only way to cure that would be to build more homes that no one wants

True, living below one's means also leads to a longer-term road of happiness as well.

I have not gone to the movies in months! No way in hell am I going to pay $10 when 90% of the movies that come out are crap!

God bless bootleg copies online is all I am going to say. At least that way if a movies is a real waste of time, I can just walk away and save couple of hours of my life as well as my hard earned money.

I decided to stop making the spoiled Hollywood celebs and producer richer by seeing every crap movie.

We mostly wait until the movie comes out on the DVD rental. Then we Redbox or Blockbuster Express it. But some movies are just meant to be seen on the bigger screen of the theatre so we do make exceptions once in a while. I also occasionally have to have my popcorn dripping in pseudo butter fix or I get withdrawal symptoms....

BTW Turco, long time no see. Welcome back!
