1. Property taxes should be less
2. Ask an agent. AZ is pretty high due to lousy drivers and high auto theft rates.
3. Almost the same
4. Dunno, we use Cox cable. But if you ask Qwest, I'll bet they say they're wonderful!
5. I live in Mesa, have Cingular and haven't had any problems anywhere in the valley. Equal to Verizon which I had before.

1. Are taxes lower then CA?
Property taxes= far lower
Sales tax= 7.75%, I believe (Chandler)

2. Car Insurance, I live in Reseda (SF Valley), is it higher or lower?
May be slightly lower, but not enough to get excited about.

3. Car registration?
Lower...my '95 sedan only cost $35 to register in AZ.

4. DSL, best or better company. I use VOIP so I need a good one....
Don't know about DSL...prefer cable internet...have Cox bundled service for, phone, high speed internet & phone.

5. Cell phone, I have cingular, how good is it in Chandler?
Don't know about Cingular - have T-mobile & it works great in Chandler.

State income is about 18% of the federal which = about 3% total. Depends on your tax bracket, too.

1) As the poster above said, income taxes are 18% of federal income taxes which is about 3 to 3.5% depending on your income. Much cheaper state income taxes in AZ than I'm paying here in NC.

2) Depends on the type of car you have. I have an 03 SUV. I had moved to AZ from FLA and it was much cheaper than Florida.

4) Qwest, sadly is the predominate and I think only DSL provider in the Valley. In the east valley, south Chandler where I lived, I had Cox when I first moved out there in 04 but I went to Qwest in 05 b/c they offered me a better deal price wise. The problem is that Qwest as of Oct of 06 only offered 1mbps up/1.5mbps down. That speed pales in comparison to what you get with Cox, but the higher up in speed you go the more it will cost you. Qwest is so behind in their infrastructure. They couldn't even give me a date as to when they would update their infrastructure to provide higher DSL speeds. My parents have AT&T/Bellsouth DSL in Florida and they get 6mbps down. I have Verizon DSL here in NC and I get 3mbps down (that's the highest Verizon goes here and there isn't any FIOS here as of yet). So I'm saying all of this to say that Qwest sucks for DSL. If you need a low price and you don't mind having 1.5mbps down, go with Qwest.

5) I had AT&T/Cingular when I moved to Chandler in 04. In my apt, the signal wasn't that good. I had something like 2 bars out of an available 5 bars. Outside of my apt, I got anywhere from 3 to 5 bars so overall Cingular service is pretty good in the area.
