Here is Flagstaff so far in May(scroll down on the page to see the calender view). Youll see the nighttime lows well below freezing, with a day of snow to start off the month, then rain the next day. April closed out with two consecutive days of snow as well. Flag is no walk in the park, Im telling you.

yeah, Flag can be cold at night pretty much year round if you're a Phoenician, I've camped up there quite a bit and even in June or July it's chilly, downright freezing (figuratively not literally) after a rainstorm moves through.

How do you walk your dogs when it is 101-105 degrees like today (in May!!!!)? It is 43 degrees in north suburban Chicago today.

It was a little toasty today but 103 will feel cool by the time September arrives.

Smart people don't walk their dogs in the afternoon when the heat is at its peak, they wait until evening or early morning when it's cooler and the sun isn't beating down.

Only knuckleheads take their dogs out in the afternoon heat, that would be like woking your dog.

You go in the morning or at night, when it's not 101-105 degrees, right now it's 65 beautiful degrees here, in May!

The term hot is all relative and you adjust to wherever you are....to some degree.

I think everyone from Phoenix has had that afternoon in the fall where it suddenly feels really really cool and you get home from work and throw on some sweats and look at the temperature and it's 80. You feel a little silly but...heck I'm cold!
