I'm sure many people will be attempting to shoot fireworks this upcoming weekend. Here's an awesome tutorial from Canon.

Find a good spot, set up your tripod and let the firerworks carve light into the shot. In my view, it's the adding of other interesting subject elements with the fireworks that separate a good shot from a great shot. Here is one of mine shot a few years ago on film.

Timely article. Thanks for posting it.

I just read a section on shooting fireworks and am still trying to remember where it is. If I remember I'll post it as well. It was in one of my David duChemin or Scott Kelby books.
