My first, was an Olympus E-510 (Evolt), a fine sturdy DSLR that gave me some very excellent photos but in two years, I grew restless to own a Nikon,
perhaps for the prestigious brand name but also for the added megapixels, going from 10 mp up to 12.5 mp with the Nikon D5000. I love my Nikon, it does
credible video too and the flip-down, tilting LCD ,screen is really flexible allowing me to hold the camera high above crowds while seeing my shot on a fairly
sizable viewing screen. I take many more pictures than ever before because in the digital format, I can load them all onto a mass storage device or drive
and not worry about printing any except those that I really like. I'm certain that if you take the time to thoroughly study all of the controls and features
of your new DSLR, that you'll maximize on it's abilities as well as produce some fantastic pictures. Now, I'm dying to own the Canon T2i and maybe if I ever
get called back to the job that I lost last year, I just might get that chance. Anyway, good luck, with whatever choice that you do make!
just got a pentax k-x for $475. from the research i did before i purchased it's better than entry level dslr's from canon, nikon and sony. more options.. such as video recording.
yes, the pentax body will take any pentax , or k-mount, lens from any era. That can mean huge savings on lenses to choose from for pennies on the dollar.
