using a nikon d300 and 50mm f1.4d as my only lens today (lenses, zoom)

all of the below were the nikon d300 and nothing but the 50mm f1.4... i was trying to make that my only lens today. i sold the 17-55mm and havent decided what to get yet. im waiting to see nikons new releases in 2 weeks.

well i sold the 17-55mm and im toying with getting a full frame d700.

rumor is in 2 weeks when the new line is released the d90 will be replaced with the d95 but the d700 may not be replaced until next march.

im holding off buying any lenses until i see if i can live with mostley primes.

im thinking a 24mm , i already have a 50mm, a nikon 105vr macro and the nikon 80-200 f2,8 ..if i can not survive with out a zoom im thinking the nikon 16-35mm or if i can get a good deal the 17-35mm f2.8 but thats still close to 2 grand.
