I think you're reading that wrong. It says Pentium 4, which from 2000 to 2004 was a 32 bit processor. The 64 refers to the AMD Athalon as evidenced by the fact that it's separated by the word 'or'.

Yeah, I have to agree with kdog. Lightroom wouldn't cut it for processing my landscapes. The functionality is just too limited. And I stive for a realistic look not some artistic interpretation.

It really depends I think on what one's typical workflow, if minimal then lightroom is probably fine as is Photoshop Elements.

runNYfan have you tried to print high quality prints from LightRoom? I'm interested in printing some artsy photos and I have PS3 but would rather master LR but if it won't print fine detail beautifully I think I'll stick with PS. Any thoughts? thx!

I installed CS5 64 bit on both my 32 bit lappy's and two programs will not work with the computers.....After Effects and Production Premium....other than that it seems to be working just fine.

Only two CS5 applications are exclusively 64-bit, Premiere Pro and After Effects. The rest, including Photoshop, will run in either 32-bit or 64-bit environments, including Windows XP. But CS5 users running on 64-bit native should realize noticeably greater gains in performance, in some cases as much as ten times the previous speed. -- Is CS5 64-Bit-Only?
