LOL, same here! I had one land on my arrow once, another time one landed on my hand and started pecking at my knit glove.

Camo must work then. I've heard it said that black or camo tripods should be used when photographing wildlife. Shiny tripods can spook your subject....

I took these today (used a Canon EF 200mm f/2.8L prime):
