I can't rep you again, kdog, because I already repped you for the first shot. But those are some amazing photos! If I saw something like that flying overhead, that would probably be the one time I left the camera at home.

Ha, I think not. When you battle rush hour traffic and 20,000 people crowding onto an air force base, you do not forget your camera.

Default NGC 281, The Pacman Nebula, In Cassiopeia

I was going through some of my very early images using my current set up and found the master for this image, which I have now remixed. I had some focusing and guiding problems, and am not satisfied with the star colors, but considering that I only got abut 40 minutes of useful data, it didn't turn out too bad.

Image:
8 exposures of 5 minutes each: 40 minutes total exposure
ISO 800
8 darks, 8 flats
Stacked with Deepsky Stacker
Processed with Adobe Photoshop CS3

Equipment:
Camera: Hutech Modified Canon T1i
Scope: Modified 200m f5 Konus Newtonian with Baader MPCC coma corrector and Baader UV/IR cut filter
Mount: Losmandy G-11 Gemini V.1.04
Tripod: Losmandy Heavy Duty
Autoguide Scope: 80mm f5 Orion Shorty
Autoguide Camera: Orion Starshooter using PhD Guiding

Image acquired on 10/01/2010 at the LAS James Baker Observatory, Curby, Indiana.
