The rocks In our area are quite varied in color, shapes and origins.
Due to thrust faults and the last ice age with glaciers pushing massive amounts of rocks about.
We have quite a mishmash of different rocks in layers on the mountain sides.
I took this photo today on the Flathead Indian Reservation in northwestern Montana. ~♥~
