The story behind this photo is that the #4 uniform is being worn by the high school coach of Andrew McCutchen who was drafted right out of high school. This is probably the last high school game he played in before reporting to Pittsburgh. What I really want to know is how much the home plate umpire would pay for this image to keep it from being posted somewhere else? This photo was taken at Legends Field in Tampa, FL May 25, 2004 during the state of FL high school play offs.

Soldiers establishing security before getting ready for a very long patrol. I think I walked about 12 miles this day in the rolling Afghan terrain in nearly 100 degree heat. I could not drink enough water as I had drank about 2 gallons and ran out before the patrol ended. It was also at this point, at the end of the day walking back, that I had my Nikon D50 in my backpack, slid down a hill and fell on it. Kit lens was damaged beyond use but the D50 body still works to this day despite the screen being cracked as well as the body.

At about 12,000 ft above sea level, the road to somewhere...
