When I was still working for the state highway department, we had a contractor come in with a 1000 gallon water tank. We filled it with water, then added, I think, 50 lbs. of perennial flower seeds. Then it would be sprayed on hillsides that were going bare, and some bare spots on flat ground. Then we'd bring in the straw blower and blow several bales of straw over the seeded areas. Always looked nice.
