I just accepted a job in the Monroeville area. To be more exact it is off of 286 (Golden Mile Highway). I have never lived on this side of the city (I've lived in Moon Township and Beaver Falls for school).

Can anyone give me any recommendations on where to look for an apartment? I don't have kids, pets, and I didn't want to pay a ton for rent.

To give you an idea on what I have paid for rent: Moon I paid about $600 a month and Beaver Falls I paid about $500 a month.

I am going to go look at apartments on Friday, Sept. 3rd.

Thanks for any help!

why don't you just buy something for like $75,000 if you're paying that much? That's what I'm doing. I could recommend some places if interested. Look in Turtle Creek or pitcarin. Turtle creek is a better area of the two. If you want something even nicer... look near north huntington. Cheap and descent area.

Houses have like.. down payments, property taxes, potential to lose value, random stuff that might happen that would require immediate payments of large sums of money, lack of liquidity, and many other considerations..

I do own a home, but you seem to make light of the purchase
