Wow, i have never seen Wheeling before. There is some really cool architecture there.. I might have to make a trip out there once i move to Pittsburgh and settle in.

Great job as usual, AA!
What is the story on the big, white, Greek Revival, "temple" looking building? Do you remember the address? That's an architectural style that pretty much ruled the 1830's, it would be incredible if it were that old...

I don't know if you post on the skyscraper forums or not, but you should. Tons of photo threads of individual cities. Actually I saw Wheeling for the first time on there, and it instantly impressed me.

It's the Church of God and Saints of Christ. It was built in 1837, and is located at 1206 Bryan St. Wheeling has several churches and other types of buildings from the 1820s-1850s. The Market was built in 1853. The other Greek Revival church I photographed was built in the 1830s.

Thanks for sharing! The COL in Wheeling is cheaper than the Burgh,too. For being only 55 miles away it's a real competitor for the Burgh's nightlife.
