I enjoyed trying to identify CoolRef's screen capture of a Larimer church so I thought I'd offer up another challenge for everyone. This puzzle ups the difficulty level because this building burned down in the thirties....

Alright, see the unusual, round building with the flag pole? Here's a closer look...

Clue #1, this building housed an object, something that has since been lost and virtually no information exists about where it is now or if it survived all these years.
Clue #2 The missing object is not coffee. The Dukane Coffee Corporation used the building after it's original purpose vanished....
Clue #3 That weird triangle in the road is still there, though the railings are different.

So, what was this building and where was it?

Is that the area around North and Brighton on the North Side?

I have no idea about the building.

Correct, its the corner of W. North and Brighton.

Clue#4. The building housed a massive work of art. Several versions were made and exhibited in other cities.

By the look of the building shape, I'm going with it housing a cyclorama.

We have a winner!

Imagine living on Beech Ave in 1890; the Gettysburg Cyclorama at one end of the street and on the Allegheny ave side, a massive roller skating rink where Calvary Methodist now stands...a kids paradise.

I don't think there's one winner. It was a team effort.

I dunno. 25 cents admission to the Cyclorama? How many hour's wages was that for the average yinzer back then?

The Cyclorama also had Luthor's Ice Cream Parlor in it.

Strange that the Cyclorama somehow disappeared and sad. Atlanta still has its Cyclorama depicting the Battle of Atlanta, and is a tourist draw.

Yes, but they charge $10/pp! I've never been to a cyclorama, so maybe I'm just being cheap, but don't you just walk around and look at painted scenes?

These posts are really neat, OP. I'm amazed at the depth and breadth of Pgh knowledge on this board!
