What I wouldn't give to get Rendell back in office at this point.

I'm sure if you give Fast Eddie a large enough " contribution", he'll strongly consider it.

ANd to add insult to injury in light of government's expectation that everyone beneath them do all the belt tightening-that rule certainly does not apply to themselves. And Corbett is silent on this?

You don't think there can be worse governors than Rendell?

Rendell wasn't my favorite politician either, but I'd agree that overall he was much better for the state than Corbett (which isn't saying much, because Corbett is an ongoing disaster).

That makes them unconstitutional because they are violating the Full Faith and Credit Clause of the constitution by not recognizing out-of-state licenses as legitimate documents. So, in effect, the kiosks are violating federal law.

Seems about normal. Rich get richer and everyone else pays for it. That is the way it is and seems to be gaining momentum. Soon there will be poor and rich and nothing in the middle because the rich are draining them all.

A matter of opinion of course; for me personally, besides failing to pass any taxes regarding the Natural Gas extraction in PA, I have no major problems with the short reign of the Cortbett administration thus far.

Though I do always scratch my head, be it candidates for governor, president, mayor, etc, with 300+ million people in the US as potential candidates, how do we nearly always have to choose between which candidate is less worse (money, entrenched political machines and all that of course); its just frustrating whatever your political leanings are.

I was thinking more about my trip to the wine kiosk - I had been under the impression that the machine reads the magnetic strip or other id code on the license to determine the age of the person, hence it could not decipher my NC license which is very different. Now I read somewhere that there is a camera and kiosk is monitored remotely by PLCB staff. Is this correct? My teenage son was helping me work the machine - it is possible that someone saw his image as at the purchaser after inserting the license. I will try again when I come in August.
