I can't answer for the OP, but I will tell you Harmar is MUCH closer to the city if considering time of commute. No Hulton Bridge and no Allegheny River Blvd. Harmar is free to get into the city and in a year more, it will be wicked fast.

I assume you're talking about 28 being done? I thought that was scheduled into 2014? Anyways, now that the 'by-pass' lanes are open at the 40th st bridge, it is a heck of a lot better.

Bought a house in Harmar and it seems to be faster to get into the city.

It is faster. No Hulton Bridge or that dumb Allegheny River Blvd. Oakmont is a horrible place to live if you need to get to the city. If you can stay in Oakmont for work, it is pretty nice though. Of course if you ever need to leave, it is hit or miss on the bridge or Blvd. Never know.

Dorr's Wilkinsburgh Moving Exchange. Very reasonablely priced. I used them all the time when I was a renter.

I have recommended them consistently in recent years. Everyone has been very pleased with their work.
